Micromax funbook pro Micromax funbook plus

Micromax is all set to launch Micromax Fun book pro but I find nothing like pro in it. Yes they doubled the RAM, they doubled the internal memory, they increased the size of the screen from 7 to 10.1 inch and they increased battery capacity too but it still does not have any SIM support for internet or 3G connectivity for connectivity you still have to be dependent on wi-fi or data card.

Camera is still front facing VGA camera no increment in camera quality, I won’t say anything about OS as its latest Andoird Os where micromax couldn’t do much,

I do not have the device in my hand but I am sure it will look equally good as I am using Micromax funbook and I was quite happy with the performance of funbook pro till I didn’t drop and broke its screen and lost battery performance.

Overall my comments for  Micromax funbook pro are as bellow

Increased : Battery(5600Mah), screen size(10.1 inch), RAM(DDR3 1GB), Storage space(internal 8GB).

Not changed: Camera (still VGA), connectivity option (only wi-fi and data card no 3g support), processor(1.2GHz, graphic processor(400Mhz dual mali).

Although they increased lot of features in Micromax Funbook pro but it’s quite disappointing for me just because of the connectivity option and just because of that I am not going to buy it as I don’t want to carry a data card with my tablet any more.

I wouldn’t say it’s a pro upgrade but they should have named it Micromax funbook plus as its just upgrade of old feature nothing new that comes under pro category added in it.

Nokia Asha 305 Review

Nokia Asha 305 Review

Nokia launched Asha 305 phone with a price tag of 5029INR but you can buy it in 4500 INR from online shops.  Till this time I do not have it in my hand so I cannot give its performance review although I would love to do a feature analysis for the same on the basis of its hardware, software and cost. Off course you can get all the details from Nokia’s Asha 305 specification page but what I will tell here you won’t get on any websites

I wrote about Nokia lumia 610 and I was not happy with that and almost same case is there for nokia Asha 305 also. Asha 305 dint impress me a lot as well.

As its Asha series phone that means it’s a dual phone as all the Asha phones but I was surprised when I saw on ad as they are claiming Asha 305 as a smart phone. For me a smart phone is a phone that can support multitasking and no s40 phone support multitasking so it’s not a smart phone for me but it’s near to a smart phone at least swipe user interface and orientation gives you a feel of smart phone and mail and chat feature with a good browsing experience but then also it’s a semi Smartphone for me. I have mixed opinion for this phone but the complete review for this phone from me is

If you despiratly want to have a dual sim phone from nokia only and if you are fine with a semi smart phone with dual sim, good still camera, good resistive touch, killer look and orientation censor support in INR 4500 or around 80$ from a brand like Nokia you can buy nokia Asha 305 else not.

Reaso for my above review is as below

Both SIM support only 2G networks so don’t expect higher internet speed from this phone above edge network.

Asha 305 full 3inch resistive touch screen phone but if you talk about Nokia’s resistive touch I can vouch for that personally so its touch is definitely much better than any other resistive touch.

Camera is 2megapixel with 1600x 1200 pixel photo and Nokia gives good 2 megapixel camera in its phone but don’t expect good videos from it as it gives you only 10frames per second video recording.

Internal memory is just 10mb that is not good but expandable memory can be upgraded till 32 GB that is a good space.

Nokia said nothing about its processor or ram so I cannot write anything about it but its looks are killer and when I saw its photo I decided to buy this phone even if for short time.

Overall my crisp review for this phone on its specification is depending on your usage

If you want to have a real smart phone don’t think about it and look for some other phone else go for it.

Nokia Lumia 610 or Samsung omnia i8350 comparison

Nokia Lumia 610 or Samsung omnia i8350 Review

Nokia lumia 610 is out in market but they claim it is the cheapest windows phone but when I see its hardware I ask myself twice “why I would want to buy Nokia lumia 610 in a price range of 13000 INR or around 240$ If I can buy a better product in similar price range.

Nokia lumia got 3.7 inch capacitive screen, Windows 7.5 OS, 8GB of storage, 3G, wi fi, 5 megapixel camera with led flash and many things so do Samsung omnia i8350.

When we compare both the product we find features that are same in Nokia Lumia 610 and Samsung omnia i8350 are

3.7 inch display 400x800 resolution, 5 megapixel camera, 8GB internal storage, windows 7.5 OS and few other features are identical in both the phones but if we do more comparison Samsung win the battle as in Samsung omnia i8350 screen is super AMOLED capacitive while in Nokia lumia 610 its just tft capacitive. Samsung ominia i8350 is comes with gorilla glass that is an extra edge in it and nokia lumia 610 lacks it.

If we compare camera rear camera is fine 5 MP camera, Auto Focus, LED flash and picture qualities on paper are same from both the mobile but in Samsung Omnia you get extra front camera good for 3g call while you do not get it in Nokia Lumia 610.

The extra feature of Samsung Omnia i8350 is its video recording capability that is 720p with 30frame per second while Nokia Lumia 610 gives only VGA recording with 30frame per second.

Processor wise Samsung ominia i8350 support 1.4 GHz scorpion processor while Nokia lumia is only 850 MHz cortex A5 processor.

Battery in Samsung phone is 1500 mAh while in nokia its just 1300 mAh.

So if I compare all the features and price I don’t think giving 1000 INR or 20$ extra for Samsung omnia i8350 is a bad deal over Nokia lumia 610.

Personaly I would choose Samsung omnia i8350 over nokia lumia 610

For deals do search it on net and you will get it and rest your choice.

Samsung Galxy y Duos review.

If you want to have a phone that has got dual SIM, big capacitive touch screen, smart operating system and in low budget with a good brand name than Samsung galaxy y duos is the one that you need to buy. It’s the cheapest phone in dual SIM smart phone in Samsung. Performance wise galaxy y already proven itself a good phone and Samsung galaxy y duos is better than that.

Samung galaxy y duos work on standby hybrid mode so you can download data from one sim and can talk or sms from other SIM without affecting your download. Screen is 3.14 inch capacitive multi (five point) touch screen and operating system is android 2.3 that is a good phone in the price of 8500.

On use we found touch is good, it gives full talk time of more than 4 hour on 3G download and on 2G Download it lasted for 13 hour in our testing. Touch is very good and responsive. Camera is good. We tested it with 32 GB memory card with 20 GB Data on it and it did not slow down. We tried to run high definition video on it but result was not good for high definition video but for normal video its good and sound is good on headphone.

Its back is plastic but it doesn’t look cheap at all

Overall Samsung galaxy y duos is a recommended phone.
